Re: 2018-19 season commentary

Beyond new management and ownership and a new coach, what to do with the Bulls? I'd trade or drop almost everybody but Carter and Markkanen. GMs usually don't do much before February, so give LaVine, Dunn, Parker some time to try to improve their trade value; but I'd be surprised if any of them woul...

Re: New Site - CraftedNBA

The first time yes. Second, no. I don't think I even saw a card the first time. The second time, clicking the card was my final thought. Plan daily, weekly or occasional updates? Will the 17-18 data still be there? I hope so. Maybe I am easily confused but I wondered about the hyphen before the blen...

Re: Lineup analysis for 2018 conference finalists

I sorta gave these teams a bit of credit for "surprising" opponents in the playoffs above. But they also surprised themselves with the lack of much testing knowledge from the regular season to inform playoff lineup decision-making. Rockets tested 1 lineups used in playoffs over 200 minutes. The Warr...

Re: 2018-19 team win projection contest

Thanks again to past contest "scorers", especially Mike G. thru the years. Thanks in advance for any scorers of this contest.

Any latecomers who still want to enter, do so before games start tonight.

Re: New Site - CraftedNBA

It wasn't obvious to me to click on the player card to see the stats on his page. I did it the second visit but went away unclear the first time. Might add a note on how to proceed.

It is happening with whoever enters. Some may post here at the end. Some may have moved on. Thirty-some hours left to deadline.

Re: 2018-19 team win projection contest

I have the Hawks at 18 wins, up from my first mark at 16. But this is just a start. I will have to review more closely. I have the Griz at 39 right now. That maybe best case rather than average case; but my gut is thinking good things for them.

Lineup analysis for 2018 conference finalists

This is just a brief start on the topic. I am not sure how fast or far I'll go with this. Might go far and with help. But for today: The top 6 lineups for the Warriors in playoffs overall included only 2 of their 5 most used regular season lineups. They completely eliminated the only negative perfor...

Re: 2018-19 season commentary

I liked Mikal better. If they hadn't shared the same last name, maybe I would have had a more open minded view, better opinion.

Re: 2018-19 team win projection contest

At the moment, my biggest variances with your projections are that I am higher on the Griz, Warriors and Rockets and lower on Kings, Hawks and Mavs.

Re: Christian Wood

Alright, assuming true. The real work starts. Use this chance.

Kinda tough to let go of Zeller. -1 RPM was borderline. Weak playoff on/off and coaching evaluations not to play him much there may have done him in.

Did they consider trading Maker? I would have considered it.
