Re: Podcasts
What topics do people want to hear covered on an analytics podcast? Lineup analysis. Methods. Specific teams. Lineup matchup analysis. League trends. Sophomore slump of Donovan Mitchell. Other cases and outcomes. Which outcome seems more likely? Are there statistical clues for when teams trade or s...

Podcasts
Are there any podcasts that dive deep into analytics? My go-to is Dunc'd On, but that isn't too heavy on stats. Also, are there any good draft podcasts throughout the season? I've listened to a few like Hardwood Homies and can't get on board. Thanks for any suggestions!

Re: 2018 Draft Models and Discussion
Rumor is Jontay Porter will return to Missouri for his sophomore year. What type of sophomore year will he need to maintain/improve his draft position? It seems like he ranks high in many models through his standing as the youngest player in the draft.

Re: Player Impact Plus-Minus
I've had to use box scores for Nike, adidas, and UA tournaments. pbp for Nike might be available through Game Changer, but I don't think that includes time at all.

Re: Player Impact Plus-Minus
Great work! Do you think this can be used to evaluate high school prospects? I'm using win shares adjusted for strength of schedule right now.

Crow, I like the go 100% or accept it is a pipedream statement. I think that is useful in most areas of life.

Re: 2017 draft analytics
I have not done any draft modeling outside of analyzing college stats but for those who have, is any weight put on high school data? For the most part, I'm talking about the 1-and-done players. I imagine you run into the issues of adjusting for competition, actual data (outside of the top Nike/Adid...

Re: Strength of Schedule
Thanks for the replies.
I had never heard/seen the Massey Ratings before...first glance they look pretty good. Impressive they have every sport as well.

Strength of Schedule
I'm doing a side project of evaluating junior college players for D1. I've collected the data from every team and ran their stats. My next step is to adjust their stats based on strength of schedule. I have no idea where to start with this. I haven't found much on strength of schedule calculations t...

Of the six initial candidates, I don't think any of them are upgrades. It seems like Larry Bird is off his rocker for this one

Re: High School Advanced Stats
I have emailed the director of media, but he has not responded to me. Synergy is breaking down their games, so maybe that is part of the reason they don't have it posted?

Re: High School Advanced Stats
Under Armour isn't posting minutes played for their circuits. Does that mean I'm SOL for stats that use individual/team minutes played?

Re: High School Advanced Stats
Wouldn't past data be necessary for projecting players? I think that will be hard to find except for the top players. Going forward stat tracking should be easier...as long as the stat keeper is doing a good job. That will be a big if.

Re: APBR-DraftExpress 2016 NBA Draft Project
I'm curious if any draft model has Jaylen Brown top 5 - because the video coordinator from Draft Express tweeted I would be laughed out of any NBA gym if I told them my model didn't have him top 5. This annoys me - when scouts see a model agrees with their opinion of a certain prospect - the model ...
