Source for Similarity Scores of Current NBA Players?

Is there a place where I can look up the similarity scores for current players to one another? I don't even know if similarity scores is the right term as I know that's been use to compare and project career arcs and I want to know about contemporaries. But what I was wondering if there was a way to...

Re: Question: How might you track starter-bench discrepancie

Thanks for the point in the right direction crow. It looks like there's a lot of work still to be done on this one.

Question: How might you track starter-bench discrepancies?

What would be a good way to keep rough tabs on the disparity between starters or starters + sixth man, and the rest of the rotation? I'm not as interested in finding out who has a good or bad bench as I am discovering the team's with the wisest gaps, either way, between their starters and their benc...

Re: Team Sortable NBA +/-'s

Thanks for your comments crow. Glad to know it's been suggested to the ESPN folk.

Let me ask a simpler question. What do you think would be the best way for me to identify the players on each team who are plus defenders and minus on offense, and the reverse?

Team Sortable NBA +/-'s

Can someone link to a place where I can see adjusted plus-minus ratings of NBA players that includes a breakdown of their relative contribution on offense and defense? And most importantly, that can be sorted by team. It would be great if I could set my own date parameters as well. It seems like I'v...

Re: Finding Player vs. Player Info for Individual Games on E

Ahhh...that would make sense. I was feeling kind of foolish for not being able to dig this out.

Still, if it's any information is available on the net I'd love a link and maybe a quick start guide to looking it up.

Finding Player vs. Player Info for Individual Games on ESPN

In the recap of the Bulls-Cavs game that happened just before the break Sam Smith referenced Snell vs. James data he was apparently able to look up on ESPN. He writes: James did have 31 points, but he committed eight turnovers, six when guarded by Snell, according to ESPN stats, and had a whopping -...

Re: Production By Position Stats Ranked?

Thanks Crow...I see how that can be done with bulk stats. I guess what I was hoping for was some more targeted way of trying to capture player's importance to team. Maybe +/- is that thing, or maybe taking several measures as you've suggested is the best I can do.

Re: Production By Position Stats Ranked?

Hoopsstats is great for finding most productive players at each position, but what I'm looking for is something that relativizes production in relation to team. In other words Chris Paul might be the top PG but if Goran Dragic is more important to Phoenix than Paul is to Clippers that's what I'd lik...

Production By Position Stats Ranked?

Where, during the season, can I find a ranking of which teams are most dependent on each position? I like the way 82games has positional production by points, PER, and differentials, but am frustrated that they don't have these statistics in a sortable table that could be used to get a read on the t...

Re: Rolling Pace Stats?

Wow is that ever cool. Thank you.

Let me ask a related question. Is there a preformatted way to get a pace sort on all teams in a given period?

Rolling Pace Stats?

I know there are now a lot of sources to get the average number of possessions used by each NBA team. But is there a site where you can get this for a certain date range, or for "last 20"--something like that?
