I am looking for a site or way without taking play by play data and getting box scores by half, does anybody know a site or way to do this? I am looking for college basketball halves box scores but if anybody has a way for the NBA I would be interested in trying to adapt what you are doing to NCAA.
Any direction is appreciated, thanks.
Box Scores by half?
Re: Box Scores by half?
if this helps you, each NBA game on nba.com is accompanied by an official boxscore in PDF format. The PDF has pages that list just the first- and second-half stats (as well as stats by quarter). Look under "Boxscore" for any particular game.

NBA STuffer has box score information at a relatively reasonable rate (player by player) that allows you to determine quarter by quarter scoring.
I have the data parsed into databases for the 06/07 through 10/11 seasons
I did not obtain the 10/11 or 11/12 seasons
ESPN has a 'gameflow' XML file that they're hiding in their shot charts that I'm looking at parsing, but ESPN's shot information is proving annoying
Send me a PM if you want some information from what I do have available
