Hello All,
I am major fan of basketball and statistics, but am relatively new to basketball advanced stats. I'm familiar with the four factors and adjusted +/-, but I'm wondering where I should go next i.e. if I wanted to do my own analysis what programs should I be using and where would be good places to look in addition to this site to learn about basketball and analytics.

Programs: Excel, R, some sort of database.jpadula wrote:Hello All,

Reading: sbs had a couple of good links, but mostly it's all scattered around in various blogs. I've found Twitter useful; if you follow the right people most new research filters to you eventually. Also the old APBRmetrics forum archive has a lot of interesting things: http://godismyjudgeok.com/DStats/APBRmetrics_Old/
