Iamma going to start this, don't know if I'll finish...
Back to beginning of BI and go thru with reactions to what I read or re-read. Generally not going to bother with citations or specific quotes, just focusing on reactions. Here goes:
Under-reported topic, player - coach relations? Obviously they generally keep that out of press. But press can observe and try to report on.
Shooting form? Hear lots of talk, know some of the principles but is there a video of agreed upon classic form?
What would qualify for 76ers skipping steps?
Are teams committing less fouls or just getting called for them less?
On average does length on defense against PGs work better than traditional PG defenders?
power of positive thinking key... some places / players sure, but majority??
David Thorpe said Trey Burke had veteran BBIQ. Oh? "Don’t Give Up on Anthony Bennett (from David Thorpe, ESPN)" No, they did, with adequate justification.
Did Steve Clifford change the culture? I guess. Need to do it again? Probably.
"Goldsberry says that "the days of the armchair analyst might be numbered," Yeah probably should be, if the advanced or super-advanced stuff was getting used highly. Is it outside a few teams? So much non super computer analysis that would be to helpful that doesn't seems to be used or to the max yet or close.

Are these stats correct?

http://stats.nba.com/teams/transition/#!?sort=PPP&dir=1 Only half the league more efficient on break than a league average shot of any kind? Something that the hurry up talk does not seem to address. Hurry up if you are good at hurrying up.

"2014 First-year GM Ryan McDonough righting the Suns" for a few months...
Popovich: “There are a lot of good shots, but if you can turn that into a great shot, percentages go through the roof. Contested shots are really bad shots." So we need to track location & contest. Usually have to dig for that and may come up empty.

2014 stevens-urges-celtics-take-right-shot which has translated as lots of 3 pointers and average from at rim and at line.
"After a single season in the NBA, Anthony Davis is already beyond comparison." So what happened? in part- 3 pt shots, less offensive rebounding, not a ton of positive change.

6/2014 ” After the Oklahoma City Thunder were eliminated a few weeks ago, you could hear whispers of closing windows and ticking clocks. Another year gone by, another empty season. Is it possible the Thunder were starting to run out of chances? With this much talent, it’s title-or-bust, right?
Fans are fickle, fans are frustrated and, above all, fans are impatient. But the Thunder need to be the opposite.
“What clock? There’s no clock,” Russell Westbrook said at the Thunder’s exit interviews on June 1. “I don’t believe in saying the time is closing.

Lots of stories about folks who became functionally irrelevant fast. Not criticism, just observation.
Caboclo Impresses In NBA Summer League Debut (from Holly MacKenzie, Raptors.com):
” Seated courtside... Amir Johnson aon hand to assess the performance of their team.
“He’s good,” Johnson said. “He’s long, athletic. It’s going to take him a while just to develop and build that strength, but I like what I see so far and he’s going to be a great player.”
On draftee Wiggins He's perhaps a perfect student. However, there are a few aspects of Wiggins' game that will need immediate and continuous improvement for him to become an All-Star... These defensive lapses will be overcome through experience and actual practice and game time. A fair helping of individual video study will also round Wiggins into an elite wing defender, someone who could potentially be Scottie Pippen 2.0.

What to make of Julius Randle. Question in 2014... and now?
"Most of Nurkic's weaknesses right now are between the ears, as he must become a better decision-maker and adopt a more heady approach to the game."

"Asking the right questions is a more important basketball analytics skill than manipulating numbers." And when has that ever appeared high on a posted NBA job description? Never to my knowledge.
