Martin's FTA/36 are down from last year to this year, 9.3 to 4.6; and that's after 23 FTA in the last 2 games.
His FGA are also down 17%, from 17.5 to 14.6 per 36.
His 3FG% is down from .383 to .297; eFG% from .506 to .461
Steals and blocks just about half what they were last year (from not much to about none).

Last year was possibly his best year, and he played just 32.5 mpg, a 6-year low; this year: 36.2 mpg.

Here in one gynormous table of team by team big gainers and losers, defined as + or - .12 eWins, from last year to this year, in this year's minutes. This cutoff contains the 90 biggest gainers (avg 3 per team) and about as many losers.
A couple of teams have no big improvers, and one team has no big regressors.
Season at 21.4%, does not include last night's (3) games.

Stl, Blk, TO, and PF rates are also included in eWins/484 minutes.
A number of players have lower shooting% and also better e484. That is due to picking up their games in other areas, often including scoring production.

Atlanta with 7 gainers... how much is because the new coaching is sinking in and how much is because the coaching has changed?

How much of the Denver gains are post-Melo gains vs other change by the individuals?

So, uh, Vince Carter is 2nd in non-prior-informed (I'd call it "uninformed", but I imagine Jerry doesn't like that) 2012 RAPM. I haven't watched him at all. Is that for real? I mean, I thought his best years were way behind him now.

Vince was above avg last year (1.17 e484) and closer to avg this year (1.11).
He's playing just 21 mpg (from 28 last year), and his net difference is -.04 eWins.

As recently as 2009, his last year in NJ, he was 1.61 times avg.

Chill out. I think everybody will know what you're talking about. I'll try to watch some Mavs games in the next days to see what's up. Informed RAPM had him around ~40 last year though (with a pretty stable progress over the years), so it didn't think his career was on the downside

Monroe -2.8 and -2.5 on prior informed and non-prior informed RAPM this season. He was better but still estimated at -1.7 last season. Another perspective to consider or not?

Gortat unchanged on prior-informed RAPM year to year at -1.1. On non-prior informed he is estimated better at -0.6 but that is probably not significant and it is not good either.

Chalmers on the other hand did improve a lot on RAPM from -0.6 on prior-informed to +1.3 and +2.4 on non-prior informed for this season.

Accept, reject RAPM on these cases or study the boxscore and RAPM results and the paradoxes further?

RAPM see almost no difference in Marvin Williams estimated impact- moderately negative.

Non-prior informed RAPM suggests Hibbert was decline from around +1 to near neutral.

RAPM has Hawes making a very large improvement. Or is it much ado the team, despite the method and the goal of this metric?

RAPM has James making a large decline though still strong.

RAPM has Kidd making a very large decline.

RAPM has Bargnani making a very large improvement from terrible to less terrible or neutral on non-prior informed.

RAPM agrees Marc Gasol improved while Pau declined.

Perkins a modest improvement. Artest a singificant decline.

Do some GMs consistently choose players who look better on boxscore stats over RAPM or vice versa in the draft, in free agency, in who they re-sign, in who they trade away or for? With more time lots of trends can be studied.

I don't know about GM's, but coaches tend to use players more when their productivity increases, and vise versa.
The top 25 improvers in the table averaged 25 minutes last year and are getting 30 mpg this year.
The 20 big decliners -- in (production decline) * (minutes) -- are down from 30 mpg to 28, on avg. Several of these are still seeing minutes because their teams are truly desperate.

A player's non-boxscore contributions may happen to move the opposite of what these numbers tend, but in general I assume a given player has improved when he's more productive.
So Battier, for example, may have value not seen in his box scores. But when his shooting% drops by .125 -- his scoring, rebounding, and his assist rates all drop to barely half what they were last year -- that looks like serious decline.
Minutes declining -- from 29 to 23 -- seems to corroborate it.

Most or all coaches trust / know boxscore data better than they do RAPM so change will probably be mainly because of change in boxscore data. It would be interesting to check and see if there are clear examples of organizations who make noticeable minute changes that can be correlated to changes in RAPM (seasonal data or sharp moves in within season data) mostly or alone (not accompanied by similar moves in boxscore data). It would depend on the case - and the context- how wise that was, but there might be times when picking up on the RAPM cue would make a meaningful difference. For playoff minute decisons or trades (before the market picks up on an apparent value change in the boxscore or in the impression from tape) or whatever. For all the science, it still has some art and involves some judgment calls, or educated guesses.

The most-improved Sixers barely place one player in the top 25. But Hawes, Lou Williams, and Iguodala are also among the top 50.

Meanwhile, a fierce battle for last place:
