D Russell gets more passes to him than he gives out by almost 50% according to nba.com. And that is after bring up the ball and starting with it most times. Passes to him in playoffs so far are down by about as much as passes from him though.

T Youngs' playofff assist rate and assists per 100 possessions are about 50% higher than ever before with Oladipo missing.
3 straight very strong playoff BPM ratings. He should be highly sought as a free agent despite turning 31 this June.

Nets change starting lineup but not quite to what I suggested. I don't think it worked that way.

Atkinson spun thru 66 lineups in first 3 games. (Yesterday's game data not yet posted on BRef.) Less than 26% of the selections are positive. But I hear he is a good or great coach. Has used an average of 17 new, not yet used in playoffs lineups every game. Might be acceptable if it worked. It hasn't much.

10 of 11 most used player pairs by Nets are negative.
The best pairs involve Dinwiddie LeVert Carroll and Dudley. They are almost exclusively the players in the only positive lineups among the 20 most used. Put all four together and they are the only positive quad in top 9. 5 of the most used 6 quads are stupendously awful (-55 to 65 pts per 100 possessions). While doing that Atkinson has only used his best performing quad in 2 of 4 games. Makes no sense to me. Would be hard to have worse results and a worst looking underplay. The best performing playoff quad got zero seconds of play in latest loss. 2 or 3 of 4 but never all 4.

Sabonis with the worst Pacers on the court plus minus per 100 possessions before today and another awful plus minus today. Decent boxscore today. Hadn't been shooting well before.
T Young neutral before today and will probably end up around there. No else anywhere close.

When your team is completely overmatched, lineups aren't going to save you. You rest players as needed, go with who is hot, etc. Pacers and Nets never had a chance in these matchups. All lineups get slaughtered, other than briefly being lucky.

Nets, lose 4-1 with one close loss.
Two most used lineups were horrible and atrocious respectively.
5 of the next 8 most used lineups were positive but under-utilized.
The pair likely considered the core for the future Russell-Allen was -29 points per 100 possessions.
What worked best was LeVert with old vets. They may move on from those old vets.
Russell was -5 on BPM and very low on RPM too (as mentioned before). Team performance with his subs was 43 points better per 100 possessions. Weak shooter at the rim and weak from deep too.
Pay him huge to retain? Do that and you'll convince me that that you aren't going up much. Efg% this playoffs was far worse than any regular season so far in his career. A star? No.
Good coaching? No. Lost by way more than expected. By almost 4 times the regular season SRS difference.
Four lineups used for 68 minutes cost them 78 points. They weren't used every game but in half of them on average. One was good in regular season but only tested to level of 0.5 minutes per game. Not enough. Not near enough. Another was neutral and the biggest minute lineup. But only tested a bit over 2 minutes per game. Not enough. not near enough.
Another moderately bad in regular season in 1 minute per game. And finally another not used even half a minute per game. Not near enough testing. Virtually blind guesses and ruinous. Coaching failure. Probably analytic failure. At least failure to manage responsibly.
