Among players over 30, a top 100 VORP seasons search includes VORP down to 4.5.
VORP reaches back to 1974. Since 1974, there are 100 seasons of Win Shares > 10.7
Just 69 players (30 and older) are in the top 100 of both metrics.

All these were finalists, except: Kareem '77, Jordan'89/90, Ray Allen'01, Ben Wallace'03, LeBron'09
Two from one team is uncommon, but the '92 Bulls have 3 on the list. Jordan, Pippen, and Grant were #1-2-4 in VORP and 1-6-4 in WS. They had 70% of Bulls' WS and 93% of the vorp.

This is a particularly trivial bit of historic trivia. According to b-r.com, the ABA had these minimum requirements for " three-point field goal percentage (3P%) "

Why did the ABA, for one year only, raise the requirement to 27 3FG made? After which it went right back to 20?!

Started this exercise to see about young players in the league now, and how their career totals rank through a given age.

Just looked at top 100 RS minutes thru each age, sorted by categories, looked for 2017 in the To column, listing players in the top 25 at their age.
Only LeBron and Durant had scored more RS points thru age 21, than has Andrew Wiggins.

Ben Simmons notched a 3-D with excellent shooting, and he rockets up to 9th best GmSc thru 4 games of a rookie campaign; behind only Robinson, Jordan, G Hill, Shaq, MCW, Iverson, Willie Anderson, and Mutombo.
De'Aaron Fox (Sac) and John Collins (Atl) join the top 100 since 1984.

This is a poorly thought-out assertion! Giannis has played a lot more than almost anyone at his age. Hereafter, he has no advantage in minutes.
Through 323 regular season games, he doesn't even rank in the top 100 of any but blocks.
Even so, it's a short list of players with more points, rebounds, and assists thru their first 323 games:

last night's clippers 104 blazers 103 game, clippers' starters each played 34-40 minutes, no bench player played even 20 minutes...

clippers had 36 FGM, but not a single assist from their starting backcourt (patrick beverley 34 min, austin rivers 35 min) and only 1 assist the whole game from their guards...

That is odd. In their first 3 games, they were consistently at 54-55% Ast/FG. Then last night 31% (11/36)
It was also their worst 3FG% night and their most prolific at the FT line.
They had 12 steals in each of their previous games, only 4 last night.
