5 of the 18 lowest on RPM estimate in league were on Blazers until they traded the worst 2. Now they just share having the most such with the Knicks.

Talked a bit about Coby White on twitter. Still early but pretty troubling individual and lineup data.
Boylen wants him to be a two way player. Unlikely. Nowhere near a decent one way player yet.

T Ross probably should be traded. Not the only one on Magic but one of them.

Main things for Hawks to do are constrict wing minutes and / or get new wings... and consider getting a new Coach.

Knicks front office moves seem half-baked and more likely to not to meet goals but they are going to continue to be Dolan Knicks.

Over last 10 games the best performing teams by net margin per gm are Celtics, Bucks, Raptors and Thunder. Jazz 6, Nuggets 8, Heat 10, Lakers 11. Clippers 16, Sixers 21.

Celtics continue to say they did not find any deals they liked.
If they fail to get out of 2nd round that will look bad.
Given that there were hundreds or thousands of hypothetical deals they could have explored / pushed for, it doesnt sound like that much of a legit excuse to me even now.

Well, most of the time a trade is not profitable in the first half season. It's much easier to make your team worse than to immediately get better this way.
Celts are projecting to win about 8 more games than most of us predicted. That suggests they have pretty good chemistry as constituted.

Yes they are doing well but I was wondering if they could do any better. No trade with a backup big, Ojeleye or Edwards? I'd think something could have done with those pieces and / or draft picks.
As good as they look now, barely above average shooting and scoring efficiency has a good chance of biting them before reaching expectations or goals.

Celtics good but not great on shooting / scoring efficiency last season, then underperformed that by a lot in playoffs. Worse shooting this season relative to league. Mildly better TS%. But it is all going to work out this spring? We'll see.
Kemba with limited playoff experience. Great TS% in his first run, lousy in second (far worse than Irving's dud last playoffs). Average is well below lg playoff average.

Cavs' decisions in last 2 years have been wrong with few exceptions.
Beilein, disaster. I would not make Bickerstaff permanent replacement. Except to run a tank. But they have messed that up terribly so far in the draft... unless the tank is a 5 plus year tank.

I've long felt that there were some NBA coaches that purposely did not start their best lineup, in order to pressure and motivate team to do better... and to have adjustments they could go to and look good for them working. I think this theory could be extended to coaches starting the season slower / less right and then improving effort and results. How much credence do this theories have? Closer case studies might help.

5th straight season lg avg 3pta / gm increased by at least 2. Turnover rate at a 13 yr high. Pace and offensive efficiency barely changed from last season. Efg% setting a new record high though.

Wizards raw defensive rating is 2nd worst on all-time. Last season Cavs are worst, this season 3rd worst.

Spurs given 10% at playoffs by BRef, lose by 19 pts to a well below .500 team.
