sounds mighty good.
In the Members list, Kevin Pelton is still tagged as Site Admin.
Does anyone wish to step forward and take credit for this marvelous rescue operation?

Kevin posted the move on Twitter, so I assume him?

I didn't realize we had a new site. Looks promising!

We didn't actually not have a site, did we?
And now that Neil isn't blogging at b-r.com, maybe people who enjoy discussing apbrmetrics will want to discuss apbrmetrics at APBRmetrics?

Here's the current setup:
Kevin Pelton is admin emeritus (he didn't have enough time to take care of this board)
Dean Laverne, who runs APBR.org, has brought this board onto his servers to make sure it doesn't get hacked again. He is also an admin.
I (DSMok1) have been brought in as an admin, also, to take care of the board itself.
EvanZ, Mike G, and Crow have been brought in as Moderators, to help protect the board from spam.
Between Evan, Mike, Crow, and me, we should be able to at least keep the board clear of the spam that has been attacking recently. I changed up some of our spam prevention techniques, and it seems to be working so far.

Yes, and thanks to you admins and moderators for quickly dealing with that recent spam attack. Eternal vigilance is the price of blogging, or something like that.

Daniel seems like a very good choice as admin. Thanks for taking it on.
I was not aware of being appointed a moderator until this moment. I not sure how much time I will have for spam control or other moderation but will play it by ear for now if told what I can do in such a role and how to do it. I'd suggest deleting some past members guilty of clear spam and nothing else. I might suggest deleting others that are highly suspicious but these are your calls.
I will probably be at least somewhat less active posting in the future than in the past for independent and personal reasons.

Looking at the members list, I don't see a lot of spammers. There are 160 'members', trickling in at several per month -- up until Oct. 3, when 3 joined -- and zero thereafter.
Was there a deletion of everyone signing up after Oct 3 ?
And how do we recover the ability to remain signed in?
And the cool APBRmetrics/basketball logo (rather than phpbb/outhouse)?

Crow, Mike, there shouldn't be much spam now--I've deleted the spammers (they were quite obvious, and numerous) and adjusted our spam-block settings. There shouldn't be much of anything for moderators to do, but since people aren't on here all the time, I thought it good to have several moderators.
There are actually 144 users right now, with the latest to join being J_E on 12/13.
As for the ability to remain signed in, I know what's wrong but I personally don't have access to the required cookie settings page. I've asked Dean about it; I think he can access the page.

Is there a chance to fix search? The "the following keyword was ignored"-message pretty much makes search useless

BTW, if there's a problem with retrieving it I'm pretty sure I have it somewhere ;-)

It's easy to fix, but I don't have the permissions to do so. (Several levels of "administrator")
