Been looking around for some "sophisticated" NBA Finals player ratings, outside of Hollinger's Game Score bonanza. I've taken a stab at it, but would be very interested in other sources. http://hoopdon.weebly.com/

About the best you can do with simple linear weights without a team adjustment (summing back to point difference for the game) is this:

Rating = 2FG*1.1 + 3FG*2.25 + FT*0.55 + 2FGA*-0.44 + 3FGA*-0.55 + TOV*-0.8 + AST*0.5 + ORB*0.25 + DRB*0.65 + STL*1.1 + BLK*0.44

Notice both PF and FTA are missing, they simply weren't found to be significant contributors in my testing. If you calculate this for a player and then pro-rate the number to 100 possessions then this will be on the same scale as RAPM etc. However, the average for this stat over 100 possessions is 11, so take 11 away from the pro-rated number to get a number for which league average is zero.
