Production By Position Stats Ranked?

Where, during the season, can I find a ranking of which teams are most dependent on each position? I like the way 82games has positional production by points, PER, and differentials, but am frustrated that they don't have these statistics in a sortable table that could be used to get a read on the teams most and least dependent on each position.

Take a look at the many splits available at hoopsstats.com.

Hoopsstats is great for finding most productive players at each position, but what I'm looking for is something that relativizes production in relation to team. In other words Chris Paul might be the top PG but if Goran Dragic is more important to Phoenix than Paul is to Clippers that's what I'd like to see ranked. I'm not even sure how that would be done, but am hoping some attempts might be floating around out there.

It would be quite easy to take player stats and divide by team stats, totals or per game or per 100 possessions and then compare relative player shares for all or just Dragic and Paul.

Player Min Pts Reb Ast Stl Blk To Pf

Paul as %
of Clips
per game 14.6% 17.8% 10.1% 43.3% 28.7% 2.1% 18.9% 12.8%

Dreb Oreb Fga 3ga Fta
11.3% 6.6% 17.1% 15.7% 18.3%

Player Min Pts Reb Ast Stl Blk To Pf
 Dragic 14.6% 19.3% 7.4% 30.9% 16.7% 6.5% 18.9% 12.3%

Dreb Oreb Fga 3gm-a Ftm-a
7.3% 8.0% 17.2%15.5% 22.5%

(Formatting here is not my forte and I am not going to spend time of it for this. But you can copy and pretty it up if this is what you are after.)

Thanks Crow...I see how that can be done with bulk stats. I guess what I was hoping for was some more targeted way of trying to capture player's importance to team. Maybe +/- is that thing, or maybe taking several measures as you've suggested is the best I can do.

Yeah rpm is a simple and comprehensive estimate of impact.
