I believe Kevin Pelton adjusts team offensive performance projections for usage to account for the introduction of new players who must share a limited number of usage opportunities. I was wondering though if anyone adjusts team offensive performance projections to account for having to share the shot clock, the prime early period, middle and the difficult end. I would think that when major new players are introduced and the projection does not specifically adjust for sharing the shot clock that their might be some exaggerations about the quantity of early shot clock opportunities or end of shot clock obligations of stars. Maybe they balance out fairly well but it is another layer of detail that I wondered if anyone had thought about and has addressing in their projections.
