Just looking at those who got deep in playoffs with over 500 minutes at or better .200 ws/48:

About 2.5 per year, barely over 2 recently.
James 3 times in last 5 years, KD 2 (not in 14), no one else over one.

419 minutes qualified player years or about 17 per year.

By this measure and imo, not that many extended superstar level performances.
But at least a half dozen teams had 2 simultaneously, including 14 Spurs. Lakers once had three (Shaq, Kobe, fish). Every titlewinner since 1991 had at least one, except in 95 when nobody did. They averaged about 1.25 while rest of league averaged a little less.

If you looked at who went .200 plus ws/48 in regular against top 5 or 10 teams would that better predict who will also in playoffs than looking at against all opponents in regular season? I'd lean toward guessing yes more likely than no but would be worth checking. Could also do with those plus 3 or 4 on rpm or other metric instead of ws/48
Lower minutes threshold to 300 and 234 qualify on that in last 5 playoffs but only 17 meet or beat the .200 standard, a bit over 3 per year.
