Hi, I'm new.

I'm interested in studying what happens during scoring runs/streaks in a game. Has this been done? What can I look at?

What else should I read, what has been done to look at how scoring runs might be different from other play periods?

What I recall is a study on the effect of calling timeout to stop or slow a run. You might use that as a search term.
Timeouts (and fouls?) it seems, had the effect of cutting some time out of the normal duration of a run. Like it was dependent on earth time, more than on the game clock.

OK, thanks, I think I heard about that as well. I'll keep looking for the source, haven't found it yet.

I'm also interested in analysis of performance by minute of game. I haven't found anything like that, though there is an interesting graph of the length of time it takes to play each minute here: http://www.inpredictable.com/2014/04/ho ... etime.html
