I'm blown away by how great Nylon Caclulus has become. There is innovative, well reasoned and interesting articles coming out seemingly every week. The site has really become the hub of all things analytics to me and a great asset for this community.

Kudos to everyone involved!

Agreed, the daily content is fantastic, and they're my main stop for some non traditional stats, especially rim protection. Great work all!

Seriously they are incredible, I have no idea how they have the hours in the day to put out the quality research they do.

You guys are far too kind. Love to hear any feedback on the kinds of things people would like to see more of as well as constructive criticism of the "not so much"

In light of the success of Nylon Calculus, two things come to mind:

1) I am very surprised there has been no agreement to syndicate Nylon Calculus material on any prominent websites. The greater surprise actually is how little mainstream attention the site is getting despite the large volumes of consistent, quality content.
2) I have dreamt for years of creating an APBR NBA analytics wiki-database. It's pretty clear that Nylon Calculus is the most suitable host for such a database in 2015, and I hope that this is something that can be implemented.

I'm not into the parlor game of ranking players ("How would I know, Why should I care") but I did love this from Justin W at Nylon Calculus:

"ESPN has been feverishly ranking NBA players historically by position, and a few of their writers have used an argument that restlessly annoys me: if a player wins another title, then he can move up in the rankings. That’s it — notice there’s no distinction made of contributions to the team. I understand the league is narrative driven and there’s incentive to give extra weight to a title, but that’s a team award and we should be smart enough now, armed with enough information, that we don’t have to resort to such arguments. This doesn’t even have to be about advanced stats or anything divisive. It’s simple logic. Players shouldn’t be ranked by how good their teammates are."

Congrats to Seth....

BTW, is Layne with the Bucks too? Congrats to him wherever he landed....

He cleared his whole twitter history, so I knew someone hired him.

At this rate I'll end up the only guy left who publishes draft models & retrodictions.

Layne is with Kroenke Sports, who owns the Nuggets, Avalanche and a variety of other brands: https://www.linkedin.com/in/layne-vashr ... tnD3nsa6Y1
