Basketball Applications Developer opening with the Blazers

Post by Ryan »

Hi everyone,

We have an opening for a Basketball Applications Developer in Portland:
The Portland Trail Blazers have an exciting opportunity for a Basketball Applications Developer. The position will build and maintain software applications in support of the front office and coaching staff. The position requires an individual with web programming and SQL database experience. The ideal candidate will be comfortable developing web applications in a LAMP environment (Linux, Apache, MySQL, PHP/Perl/Python). Previous basketball experience is not required, although a passion for basketball is a must.
For more details and to apply, please visit:

If you have any questions, please e-mail analytics@trailblazers.com.

Not qualified. ;)

But, if Portland is ever interested in NBA career projections (and similarity scores) of every player in the major associations in the world (NCAA, International, etc) based on historical skill set breakdowns and age projections, along with lineup optimization projections based on rating skillset breakdowns, call me.... :D

I never get to apply to any official team job opening - I am not qualified as a web developer, programmer, or have database programming "experience". Sure as hell got the passion for basketball - like everyone else here.
