I'd try to trade as many guys as you can do something useful with, no one off-limits. I'd probably be somewhat more inclined to keep Augustin and Biyombo, at least temporarily to give some structure. I'd push hard to trade Vucevic, Hezonja, Payton and yes Gordon. None of these fit with Moreyball. And I generally think that is the way to go. Biyombo is for Vogel. Evaluate in a year or two. May need to ditch one or both but give them a bit further try.

Anyone know much about him?

I don't know "much" about him but here is a little:

Clippers director of player personnel from 1994-2001: one playoff appearance (first round loss), average of about 23 wins per year.
Assistant GM for the Denver Nuggets 2001-2006: climbed to better record than previous team and 3 first round losses.
A year with Saunders' Pistons (conference finals before and after his stay)
5 years with Bucks: more first round losses (2).
Then with Raptors recently for their up & down.

So lots of experience, some lower and less middle team success while he assisted.
Son of an ABA/NBA GM.

Magic back to more layers of major management actors. Weitman & Hammond might work cordially and multiple voices might have some potential advantage... but that team never got out if first round in Milwaukee and this is the way they select to go out of all the options? Foes that suggest Hennigan was found too young / too inexperienced, not effectively collaborative enough, not as corporate as the Magic ownership / senior management like? Was it just results that came up way short or was it style too?

As a recent article by Ben Thompson presents, Hammond made as many or maybe more mistakes with Bucks than good moves... but the good moves probably outweigh in importance.

It was very much a mixed bag. Not a bad GM but not a good one, so far at least. I think they can get this team to the playoffs in 4-5 years if everything goes right.
