My personal opinion was that it was a bad shot. Why? Because they only needed 1 point.
With only a need for 1 point, it doesn't make sense to take a...30%? chance at a 3 pointer. There was no chance for a putback either, given the time on the clock when the shot was launched.

The putback thing I wouldn't worry about too much at that stage, but it certainly wasn't a good look.
Was a pretty good shot though

He made 39% of his shots this year from that territory?
But with Paul George defending, it would seem to be less.
I don't know why PG couldn't have gotten closer at 3 sec. or so.

If in-series averages are a good measure of the opportunity cost from 0-4 seconds, I guess it was a bad shot:
