Of 6 most used trios, 3 are near neutral, 3 are great. The 3 great, all had Adams as a named / always participant. Thompson probably was in some but he wasn't an always participant. He was an always participant in 2 of the 3 meh trios.

Thompson - Durant was the worst pair in 9 most used.

Rockets, 2nd on offensive rating, 6 on defense, 2nd overall.

2nd slowest pace. 30th on 3pta rate. 3 top 10 factors, 5 middle. Opponent turnover rate is the closest to a factor problem at 19th.

Satisfied? Not everyone is.

Amen Thompson's BPM is down 80% from last season. Mainly just go with points, some might be fairly happy with a 3pt / gm increase but efg% is down almost 9%pts and ts% down 7. Rebounding down, steals down, blocks way down. Raw +/- data is fine. 3pt fg% splits horrid yr1 and bad yr2 and comes in at 20.5%. FT% improving but not bringing 3pt fg% with it.

29th on Darko but but bottom 20% on recent change. Plateaued on both sides of court and overall mid last season.

Durant's BPM at +1.7. Down more than 75% from 2022-23. Lowest since he was a rookie. Big extension? I wouldn't. Probably an issue for resolution next summer but it is on at least simmer with Durant. Lowest ts% since 2011-12, near low rebounding rates. But FT rate is highest since 2013-14. Foul rate at all-time high though still moderate.

Jabari Smith's BPM is up to career best... but only +0.1. Horrible on long 2s (21% fg, though only 7% of shot diet.) Moderately below average at the rim.

Plenty of above average depth.

Could trade if inclined.

More 3ptas might be desired, so long it doesn't significantly alter the 40% hit rate.

Thought that floated thru my mind:

LeBron to the Rockets this summer.

If he goes anywhere, I don't see a better option.

Using an exception, sign n trade, minimum, whatever.

No trade deadline moves. Lots of people upset over that and other stuff. Sengun, Sheppard,, Udoka, Thompson...

5W-7L since Match 5.
Late loss to Timberwolves was dramatic.
Likely 6th seed.

Only 2 playoff games but 7 of 10 most used lineups are awful to horrendous.

3 positives are strong but only given 19 total minutes. 7 players. All had Thompson / Eason. 2 of KD, Smith and Sengun. Then Sheppard or Okogie.

28 lineups used so far, just 6 positive.

I'd increase lineup concentration massively. I would have done from start. I would have done in regular season.

The insiders did not.

The only playoff positive in 10 most used with Sheppard was awful in regular season in big minutes (272). I would not trust that one. Almost nothing else tested over an average 1 minute per game in regular season Testing failure. The other 2 playoff positives got 40 and 25 minutes in regular season. 1 awful, 1 great. Testing failure.

Coaching failure. Front office let it happen.

Traditional starting lineup sucked so far in short playoff minutes but remains one of the best bets, given almost nothing else tested near adequately.

The other main choice should be Thompson Eason KD Smith Sengun. Second most tested in regular season and very good. Only 5.5 minutes so far. WHY?

Run those 2 lineups for at least 25 minutes per game. WHY DO ANYTHING OTHER?

The other minutes are guess work but I could come up with suggestions based on sub-lineup data.
