Apparently Rose beat Vinyl for title.

Had to look for news.

I guess it was there if you wanted it.

Modest TV.

See what happens with WNBA negotiations and next season.

Unrivaled apparently paid its players 27% of 1st year revenue plus (I think) accommodations, benefits. Almost broke even.

viewership down about 44% from season 1

but revenue reportedly up 48%

do they get to 2nd media deal?

"Unrivaled’s six-year TNT deal includes a three-year opt-out clause, putting broadcast revenue at risk if ratings don’t rebound."

More games outside Miami seems a likely strategy.

Might they consider 4 on 4? Probably not but it would make the product less different, for better or not.

If Project B actually lauches and does well, the challenges get tougher. A heightened Euroleague W and / or NBA Europe W could develop eventually. What combination is too much to sustain? 3 on 3 seems the least strong format but execution and player preferences matter.

"Deadline" just passed. No deal. First year team salary cap proposals still about 60% apart by completely different methodologies and other details to reconcile.

Unrivaled finish up playoffs. Their ratings said to be down modestly. Not seeing final regular season ratings. Earlier reports were down sharply from 1st season.

Almost no recent news seen about Project B. One of 7 global stops announced for Toyko but it is what would be late in season. Supposed to start in November. How diverse will the cities be? Assume marketing would start within a few months.

Schedule overlap with Unrivaled expected. Overlap with WNBA unclear but possible,

Some signings but have any payments been made yet? Team names and rosters and Coaches still TBD. Not aware of any media deal or ticket range.

Verbal agreement on WNBA CBA. League improved salary cap offer by 20% and agreed to base it off revenue.

Players settle for 20% of revenue this time instead of 30% recent ask and original talking point of 50% (borrowed from NBA).

Take the massive improvement and fight the team owners and NBA again next time.

Check profitably in future years and franchise values. And ratings.

High water mark or just getting started? We'll see better over time.

Paige Bueckers, rookie of year and all-star. 11th in points.

Barely 1 3pt made per game and about 80th best 3pt fg%.

Tied for last place team win %.

One of better on Wings team +/-.

24.5 years old. So she finished college career at 23.5.

Caitlin Clark recently turned 24. What will year 3 bring? Pretty important.
