Lakers, 4 of 6 most used lineups are negative. None used over 4 minutes per game for season. 7 over 1 min /gm, 374 dink to super dink.

5 of 10 most used pairs negative, including #1 Reeves - Davis (only slightly negative). All but 2 of the 10 spots in these 5 weak pairs are held by Reeves, Davis and Prince. The trio of them is the worst performing trio in 20 most used at nearly -4. All but one of the negative trios in 20 most used have at least 2 of them. All of the 9 most used quads with all 3 are negative, all of them with 2 or less are positive.

Another case of design over-riding results.

Have these points, found in 15 minutes, been shared with Ham? Yes? To little or no effect? No? Maybe not, but wow if not known, not mentioned, not used for push for change. Either subunit improvement or replacement.

Spurs

T Jones pairs with Wemby and Vassell have the best team performances at modest positives. If they trade Jones, they have a tall task to replace. Branham and Wesley have moderate to big negatives with almost everyone in rotation.

Top two lineups positive (using just one substution), followed by next 11 all negative. The 11 negatives getting way more time than the positive 2. Tanking or just poor management.

Jones Vassell Sochan Wembanyama. With Champagnie or Johnson. All tried QUADS work on average. NOTHING ELSE does.

Need a mostly or entirely new set of bench players beyond the 6. Or better coaching of them.

5 of the 6 on court should be maximized. 4 of 6 for most or all the remaining minutes. Less than 4 minimized. Not doing that now, good chance they won't next season, but should some day (unless the data changes).

Playing Collins or Branham brings disastrous falloff. They have no good or even acceptable rotation pairs.

Wesley is the same. I thought of him as not draft worthy, much less at 25th. Bottom 15% on O-DPM. Above average apparently on defense. Some improvement over time but still weak and wonder how much more is coming. Beyond individual data, not fitting.

Osman has some improving individual numbers month to month but he hasn't fit and Darko has been steadily more negative on him, returning to low ratings.

Barlowe is a decent project but not there yet.

Bassey, will he return, when and at what level?

Coach says different but Keegan Murray is a pretty major disappointment to me in year 2.

No play-in for the Rockets.

Scoot Henderson has a positive raw team +/- on the court about 25% of time and a -10 or worse (raw, not pro-rated) about 40% of time. Last 10 games, 9 negative, 1 neutral.

GameScore over 10 less than 1/3rd of time, over 15 barely more than 10% of time.

BPM still below -6. Sure some rookie seasons are bad but what percent with -6 or worse BPM recover up to average or good? I don't know at the moment but guess it is low.

Who led the push for drafting him that high? It is one or more of a few people. Sure looks like a disaster to me.

One decent month on offense, one half decent month on defense. Not the same month and both super short at 4 games each.


20.2 years old now. Nowhere near ready to deliver.

Rockets' biggest factor issues were shooting efficiency and fouling.

Actual wins are 3 less than expected, perhaps at least partially due to having / running up scores in blowouts.

FT rate and 3pt were pretty good but at the rim frequency and FG% were both below league average and compound of that made them one of the very weakest at the rim scorers. $41 million / yr VanVleet was extremely weak on both components and Brooks weak on frequency. 4 starters were below league average on frequency and no starter was meaningfully above average on FG%. More Thompson would help a lot with frequency though just average on FG%, more Whitmore would help a little on frequency but hurt on FG%.


Foul rate certainly involves Coach to some degree but the 2 Udoka seasons varied tremendously on this and does not suggest an obvious or consistent philosophy or management of fouling.

Spurs: 3 horrible W-L months, 2 quite bad months and now 2-3 in April so far.

Up to Dunleavy and / or Lacobs to move on, if they are ready and willing.

Thompson, Green, Wiggins, Paul all gone for me. Curry, there would be a discussion but on the table.

Vezenkov wants out of Sacramento.

Probably not thrilled dividing time with Trey Lyles. Lyles has good lineup data. So does Vezenkov mostly at top but no lineup used over 40 minutes / 8% of this time and apparently a lit of bad dinks.

BPM is ok but his goal at a Euroleague MVP was probably higher. I don't know what is realistic from him.

Something will probably happen.

Team is more important than individuals but unhappy individuals are a problem.

V was 9th / 10th on raw on and on/off +/-, so not much case from that for bigger role.

DarkoPM showed pretty steady, mild improvement for most of season but was just ok. One dip in momentum mid-season.

Who comes calling for him and at what price? Better plan to give more minutes.

Interest from GSW? I'd think so.

Thunder? Probably not after Hayward experience.

Spurs? Who else? Sixers, Bulls, Raptors...
