You can obviously write about whatever you want to. I just thought there was 10% chance that I was misunderstood, so I thought i would made it clear, just in case.
Perhaps I'm a little too lazy, but could you share a link to that thread?

Re: Visualise Shooting Careers - thewire.pl/nba
1) just to be clear, this post is not about Durant. he was just an illustration. 2) re 4-12 ft shots. watch the video: http://stats.nba.com/playerStats.html?PlayerID=201142&groupFeedtype=splitsShooting&MeasureType=Base&PerMode=Totals they're in huge part of 'drive to the rim gone bad' so...

Visualise Shooting Careers - thewire.pl/nba
Wondering how Durant's shot selection changed over the years? Obviously there are available ways to find out. But this image is probably among the most elegant ways I can think of. http://s12.postimg.org/4npbcc3gt/Durant_Chart.png You can create it for any player, right here: http://www.thewire.pl/n...

Re: How to pull stats directly from NBA.com/stats?
wondering why do guys at stats.nba.com let glitches like this slip through: http://stats.nba.com/gameDetail.html?GameID=0020400711#boxscore Boston's players' minutes total is 225:21 and there's no mention of Justin Reed who played 15 minutes in this game. It's not like you can't find his name in the...

Custom stats.nba.com video playlists
Is there a way to create custom video playlists on stats.nba.com? It's easy when I'm watching a single event, all I need to do is to change eventID in the address bar. But watching playlists containing multiple video clips leaves no obvious options to modify. *** I guess it may actually seem unethic...

Average FT% on second attempts has been around 4.5 pctg points higher than on the first. Over the last 18 seasons.

Re: New to APBRmetrics: Good books or articles?
i'm looking for sth that would help me 'understand' the game. not on the subject of statistics. could be pretty much anything and in any form. offensive/defensive schemes. tactics in general. players' perspective on the game, their experiences. psychological impact of off-the-court stuff on their pl...

Importance of fatigue / Ways of getting your opponents tired
i've started reading this board just recently and i've only gone through 8 pages of archival subjects, so please correct me if i'm wrong. but the way i feel right now is that there's not enough (not only on this board) attention paid to the fact that (all?) players do get tired during games. and tha...

Re: Random Fun Stats
I notice the first and last minute of every quarter seem to be worst for PPP. Except for minute 48 -- garbage time? garbage time probably has some impact (nice subject for a later post), but in this case i'd blame it on teams purposely fouling great free-throw shooters in late-close-game situations...

Re: Random Fun Stats
Re: last post. There are naturally things you should be aware of before you make any attempts to compare stats coming from different seasons. Following table is a nice illustration of some of those issues. http://postimg.org/image/wg8fkxpcz/ - another awful chart, if you prefer one Season PPP (leagu...

idea is to use this area to share some interesting stuff that doesn't really warrant creating a new topic. it's also a shameless attempt to kickstart my twitter account with some english-speaking followers. http://twitter.com/siedemnastkanba sorry about that. hopefully you'll find some of the stats ...
