The magic metric is a player rating system, and I got a request to run the ratings for the whole season. Thought I would share the results here.

It is a linear rating system, and it is explained here:
http://www.upct.es/~beside/Textos/MagicMetric.pdf

As a case can be made for ranking players on either a “per game” or “per minute” basis, this player ranking uses the product of these two measures to rank the NBA players. Here is the list, including a few other stats listed just for fun.
