APBR HELP

Post by RickyTan »

Hey guys, this my first time posting here, and I would appreciate some help from you guys. I'm a student at a community college, transferring to Rutgers next semester. I'm probably going to RU for Mathematics. I recently heard about APBRmetrics and I might go into statistics there. I must say, I'm very intrigued with this subject of apbrmetrics, but since i'm so new to it, I have very minimal knowledge. I was wondering if some of you guys could give me some basic information about it. I read through some of the threads on here and I get very lost with the acronyms and abbreviations. So if anyone could help me out with the basics, or even direct me to a website or something that shows definitions, that would be very helpful. Also, if you could share some information about professions with statistics and sports, or apbrmetrics, that would be awesome. I'm very new to this stuff, but I'm so fascinated by it. I'm willing to learn as much as possible and your help would be much appreciated.

Do you have a general knowledge of basketball and are just confused by the advanced stats terminology?

If so, then this guide made by EvanZ (who actually posts here) is awesome: http://www.d3coder.com/thecity/advanced-stats-primer/
He also has some other interesting blog posts on his site, so you should check the rest of it out too.
