As a percentage of total shots Pacers took only about half the mid-range shots as league average in the regular season. They were the 3rd worst at hitting these shots so it is even more appropriate to not take these shots than in general. The Griz were 3rd best on this and few other teams were anywhere close to these leaders. Heat are slightly higher / worse than league average. same for Thunder. Celtics 4th highest on these worst yield shots, only exceed by some really badly managed teams.
Was this mentioned anywhere in the voluminous media about the Pacers or Griz? I didn't see it mentioned. I'd like to check what happened in the series they lost but don't have the time to compile at this moment.
