Stars who should or will be traded in next 12-18 months

Who are most likely to move or most appropriate to try to move? For what?

I don't consider David Lee a star, but I think he should and will be traded.

I hadn't thought the Warriors would give up Lee, especially before the completion of this next season. I guess they might if they found someone perceived better, better on post offense or defense; but I kinda felt he fit what they wanted at that spot right now. I also feel like money is not an immediate issue but maybe it might be next summer or a bit further down the line.

It makes sense for the Celtics to trade Rondo. They are committed to the rebuild at this stage and Rondo has only 2 years left on his deal (You would assume he'd leave if the Cs weren't immediately promising by then). Even if they kept him I wouldn't want to be the team giving 30yo Rondo a 4-5 year contract.

He's also pretty overrated in general, Celtics would be likely to get a decent return on his actual value (If not perceived).

Should happen this summer IMO.

I hadn't check Rondo's contract expiration date yet but yeah I also think there is a good chance he leaves if he isn't moved before then. They'd really have to get the young player mix dialed in right and pretty fast and he'd have to really be having fun being the hub of everything on a developing team, which does not seem as fun or likely as being on a current contender (if any of them would really give him huge money and space to be the current Rondo, which may not be that strong a likelihood).

On Rondo... I think the market knows his true value. I think he's only fooling the guys in the commentary box, and whilst I do think the Celtics should trade him, I don't expect them to get much more or less than what he's worth, and what he's worth is the same as what he is: a decent point guard who doesn't play a smart game, about a +2 on the RAPM scale, the Chris Bosh of point guards.

Yeah they probably won't win a trade for Rondo in isolation but they may lose in not trading him if what they can get for him via trade is any better than just using any of his net available cap space or if the time spent with a post-Rondo PG, system, rotation and roster helps the post-Rondo Celtics develop into what that unit can best be in the medium to long-term future more than they can achieve in Rondo's solar system and gravitational pull.

Can't forget about LaMacrus Aldridge. He has kept quiet thus far, but I would expect him to be traded if the Blazers don't make significant process towards becoming a playoff team this year.
