Strategies for tracking 5-man units in play-by-play data

I'm looking to scrape play-by-play data and I'm at a loss for how to track 5-man units between quarters. Substitutions are allowed between quarters, so how do you know who is on the floor at the start of each of the last three quarters? All of the sites I've looked at only seem to track substations within each quarter. Any recommendations?
