Avg. coaching experience when active coaches won titles

Appears to be about 7.5 yrs of experience at time of title win. Adding retired coaches with titles since 1980 might shift things some but probably not alot in the end. Only about 25% of the titles in last 35 years were won by coaches with less than 5 years of NBA head coaching experience.

Would the Cavs gone for Blatt if they knew what they were going to get done this summer? How well will his experience translate? To what extent do Karl and D'Antoni's experiences (especially in playoffs) inform?

How much will Kerr's inexperience as coach show?
