harvey pollack, the stats icon for the 76ers, passed away...
over 35 years ago when i was really getting into doing things with nba stats, he was as helpful as a person who was affiliated with the league could be. would always take your call, would always talk (he told great stories), and was gracious...
his annual media guide and statistical yearbook was always loaded with stats you couldn't get anywhere else (long before the internet)...
