Flipped through the forum and elsewhere online looking for an answer to a questioned posed by someone on basketball Twitter (@tpcourier) on RAM requirements needed to run 14 or 2 year RAPM/APM metrics. My hardware knowledge is iffy at best, if anyone has any info they could share I'd be happy to pass it along.

2 year (R)APM needs ~500MB
15 year RAPM needs 3G
(when done the "standard" way)
Sparse matrizes are your friend. 64-Bit CPU's/OS's are, as well
If, for some reason, you can't get a hold of more RAM you can write a brute force algorithm that takes considerably less RAM but also considerably more time. I'd just buy a 16G stick of RAM
