Kings part ways with Oliver

Post by mtamada »

I don't have any inside information on the workings of the Kings' front office, but from the outside their moves have seemed chaotic, and this looks like another chaotic one. This article makes a similar observation.

The way the Kings are being run right now is more of a farce than anything else. It's unfortunate that this happened to Dean

The list of missteps this franchise has taken (under the new owner) in terms of trades/signings is long. Sometimes they're so bad that I wonder whether Kings management is trying to entertain all the non-Kings fans

Article says he has some years left on his contract. Doesn't that mean he still gets paid?
Is that unfortunate for him or for them?

Would salary from another team (or bb media) void payments from old contract or offset them (like for head coaches)? Depends how contract was written.

It's insane. Why/how do so many teams make so many obvious bad decisions?

I hope they have to pay him every penny of that contract no matter what he does now.
