Trades... of data and analysis?

Would teams consider trading data and analysis? Why not? People talk about efficiencies and innovations. Would you trade stuff for other stuff within your capacity but perhaps not your team's prefered staff & time budget? Would you trade a unique product for a product you don't have and don't think you will get to or can do or can do as well? Has it happened? It probably should at least be a possibility. Start slow, with right counterpart. Data more likely than analysis but a lot of stuff will be both. Probably different division, maybe different current strength. Teams used to trade game tapes and maybe swapped draft scouting info. Trust might be an issue but go with team that appears more trustworthy? Would a third party facilitator make this more likely, smoother? (Is anonymity useful with bosses?)
