harden has a chance to lead the league in both scoring and passing - now at 29.4 pts/g and 11.2 ast/g...

here's the only player to ever do that - 1972-73 with 34.0 pts/g and 11.4 ast/g:

nice pass at the 1:25 mark...

Nate Archibald did not win MVP with those numbers; it went to Cowens.
The previous year, he averaged 28 and 9 and didn't even make the all-star team; only player ever with that distinction.

It seems quite unlikely Harden will make up 1.7 Pts/G on Westbrook. With just 10 games to go, he'd have to outscore Westy by 17 per game?

Would be super cool, but unless Westbrook just has a crazy cold streak and Harden has a crazy hot streak it's not going to happen this year for Harden. On the flip side, I don't think there's really any way Westbrook can catch Harden in assists without some crazy streak from both.

In 1968, Wilt led the league in rebounds (1952) and assists (702)

Meanwhile, neither Harden nor Westbrook has missed a game. Harden plays more minutes, and his team plays at a faster pace. Is that what gives him the edge?
