60% Developing: Responsible for backend computing.
- Write automated bash scripts to download/scrape/parse data from websites or data venders.
- Write programs in R/Python/Pig/SQL scripts to parsed files (Statistical/Hadoop/Spark).
- Design data infrastructure and data work flow.

30% Meeting: Work closely with three departments.
- Management: Use statistical models to find future talents based on past statistics in
NBA, D-League, NCAA basketball or international players (find talents).
- Coaches: Work closely together to come up easy, practical and useful metrics for the
coaches to evaluate opponent and Lakers' players (win games).
- Trainer: Work closely with strength and conditioning coach to evaluate fatigueless of a
player and research how to prevent players from injuries (keep talents healthy).

10% Traveling: Conferences
- Attending to sport, analytics and academic conferences to learn what researchers are doing and incorporate useful to Lakers' in-house algorithms.
