Wood so far with Lakers: career best ts% and total rebound %. 2nd worst to% though.

Overall a BPM of -1 is a bit worse than I expected but better than his reputation. Usage rate down from 26 to 17 explains a lot. Best DBPM of career, though it is only neutral.

Since it is early, things can change fast.

BPM now +1.

TS% of nearly 70%.

50% 3pta rate, 50% ft rate.

4th best defensive rebound rate.

TO% rate moves down a bit.

94th best in league on Darko projection.

I didn't see the game but it was gone / lost early and a lot of responsibility has to go to Ham and LeBron.

Should check Wood's amount of touches.

Compared to his average, touches down slightly, time of possession about the same though dribbles cut by more than half. Zero elbow or paint touches. Only about 1.4 of those normally but zero there suggests issues getting the ball in good spots and fewer dribbles could be not getting ball in good spots and /or not trying hard enough with his opportunities.

Film study would be rmequired to learn / say about that gamd. I tend to focus on the averages and trends.

Lakers trial has been a disaster in results and length of "trial".

Someone should do a study on the effect LeBron has had on teammates' numbers.
Consecutive seasons with/without him may indicate whether he tends to elevate those around him.

Wood appears very likely to be a trade piece

Teammates from last 2 years:

D Russell with LeBron, 2 of 4 best BPMs in 9 seasons. Westbrook, worst ever. Beverley, worst ever. Dennis Schröder, 3rd worst.

Prince, Wood, Hayes... worst BPM ever. Beasley, 2nd worst.
Nunn, worst. JTA near bottom.

Reddish, middling. Hachimura, 2 of 3 best.
Troy Brown, 2nd best.
T Bryant, best ever.
L Walker, 2nd best.

I am not doing the other 90% of seasons.

It is mixed. But in this sample, it is about 1 strong to almost 2 bad. On individual BPM.

Much of the responsibility for the individual stats and change has to be given to the individual but certainly some can go to Pelinka, Ham and James.

James leads Lakers on team +/- on court and on/off.
