Hello, and first concern is a question...

Post by nbahendrik »

Hello everybody,
my name is Hendrik. I am a student in Germany (sport science/sports economics) and compared to you all, a scientist being in the fledgling stages. At the moment I am about to do research on NBA players. Fortunately, there is so much data about US sports. There is only one thing, which is missing: data about injuries of the players. I have been looking for that information for 3 days and nights now, but I have not been successful so far. The information I am looking for is the games missed due to injury for every player for the single seasons (I would love if the kind of injury would be listed as well).
The only thing I found so far was this site :
http://newsday.sportsdirectinc.com/bask ... 47620.html
Of course, that would be a lot of collecting word, but if not possible in an other way, I would take that. Unfortunately, the site provides only data for the current season. The past seasons are not findable.
My concern is the following: Does anybody of you got the data I am looking for? Or does anybody know, where or how I can get that data?
I thank you in advance for your efforts and would be extremely happy, if you could give me any advice.

When research is done, I would love to share the results with you.

Best regards,
Hendrik

PS: Sorry for any language mistakes, I tried my best.

Hi. Welcome.

If you manually substitute the years listed in that URL you can get back thru 2012-2013 (works for Crowder).

Or use this database, the biggest, best I know of. Example http://www.prosportstransactions.com/ba ... mit=Search

P.S. You did fine with the language.

Hey,
thank you very much. That helps me a lot. Espacially the source that you have given me. The problem with my source is, that you can go back the years with a player currently be on the roster of a team, but you can not find the information about the players, who have retired.
As I said, your source is good, but if somebody has got another one feel free to post it here. But so far I want to thank you very much for your help. Thank you!!! :) :) :) :)
