What are the odds that the 5 coaches are all one or more of GM decision non-contester, conceptual lover of the stretch or playmaking forward, or non-looker at or believer in RAPM / RPM? Pretty high I'd guess.
The Jeff Green history:
Presti & PJ try him at SF his rookie season. Bad on court plus minus, even worse on / off. Thunder under Brooks shift to PF. On court plus minus goes slightly positive for 2 yrs playing heavily beside Kristic and probably more importantly KD at SF. But his raw on / off is still bad and so is the RAPM. And Ibaka is waiting. So traded to Boston, what do they do? Hey lets play him at SF! To similarly bad on and on / off and RAPM. Doc changes to plurality PF next season and the better on court plus minus returns but just that. Doc leaves. What does Stevens do? Hey lets play him at SF again! Back to worse results. Trade to Griz. Hey lets play him big minutes heavily at SF! It is laughably consistently at odds with the facts, raw and adjusted. What happens next? Back to PF or stay at SF or become a less prominent role player with modest bench minutes? By history the best GM and Coaching decisions are just say no.
